Fourteen anglers gather for ‘Catch Us If You Can’ drawing Sunday

The Houghton Lake Area Tourism Bureau will host its 11th annual Catch Us If You Can drawing April 23 at Spicer’ Boat City.

‘It was a record-breaking year,’ Dave Clouse, president of the HLATB board said. ‘There were 14 successful anglers catching a variety of fish in all three lakes.’

The 14 anglers will select a tackle box and look for the key that opens the tumbler with the prize envelopes. The contestant with the key will have the chance to draw two matching envelopes for $100,000 and a new Lund boat package from Spicer’ Boat City. There is a guaranteed prize of $1,000. The second place prize one angler will find in their tackle box is a Mark Martin Ice Fishing School, valued at $500.

The public is invited to Spicer’ this Sunday at 1 p.m. for meeting the anglers, free hot dogs, and the excitement of the drawing at 2 p.m.

Great Getaways TV and host Tom O’Boyle will broadcast the event live at http://www.visithoughtonlake.com/live/.

This year’ sponsors are the HLATB, Spicer’ Boat City, Lyman’ on the Lake, H&H Fireworks and Mark Martin Ice Fishing School.
