HALE – It was a gorgeous February day for the Annual Londo Lake Ice Fishing Contest Feb. 14.

Londo and the surrounding lakes were filled with shanties, quads, SXS and pickups as it was the first winter in many years that ice was a safe thickness across the region.

Sponsors of the event included: Timlick Tree Service, West Side Body Shop, Town and Country Water Conditioning, Wilson and Son’s Septic, Rogers Family Foods, Eric Henderson, Tim from Canada, Foco Construction, Kel Stone, Hale Hardware, Scofield Real Estate, Frank’s Great Outdoors, Bassi Construction and Whitetails Unlimited.

Scotty Beland of Whittemore stopped at the warming tent for a couple of hot dogs.
