Kirtland’s Warbler Coffee Talk planned for April 22

Kirtland's Warbler Coffee Talk

NORTHERN MICHIGAN – Members of the Kirtland’s Warbler Conservation Team would like to invite you to a coffee talk on what the Kirtland’s Warbler means to our communities.

This meeting is an effort to bring community leaders up to date on state and federal jack pine management efforts in our area, how Kirtland’s Warbler conservation is being conducted now that the bird is no longer considered endangered, and how birders and birding help contribute to the local economy.

Please join the Conservation Team at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 22, at the Marguerite Gahagan Nature Preserve in Roscommon. There will be a brief presentation from the U.S. Forest Service and the Michigan DNR and then a discussion to help answer your questions. Please RSVP by emailing Executive Director, William Rapai (director@kirtlandswarbler.org).

This event is sponsored by the Human Dimensions Committee of the Kirtland’s Warbler Conservation team with help from the Kirtland’s Warbler Alliance and American Bird Conservancy.
