Scott Stevenson, 62, of Au Gres

Scott Jay Stevenson

July 1, 1963 – October 26, 2025

Scott Jay Stevenson, 62, of Au Gres, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on October 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and his beloved dogs.

Born on July 1, 1963, in Bay City, Michigan, Scott lived a life full of laughter, love, and light. He was known for his big personality, kind heart, and quick wit — the type of man everyone naturally gravitated toward. Scott had a gift for making people smile and feel at ease, and his humor could brighten even the darkest days.

He found joy in the outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, golfing, or tending to his garden. Scott loved his family deeply and was happiest surrounded by the people (and pets) he loved most. His dogs were his faithful companions, and he adored the simple, beautiful moments of life spent in nature and with them by his side.

On June 13, 1987, Scott married the love of his life, Renee (Dostert) Stevenson, and together they built a life grounded in laughter, loyalty, and love. He is survived by his wife, Renee Stevenson; his daughters, Jessica Stevenson, Sarah Earl, and Sabrina Fraga; and his son, Jason Stevenson. He is also survived by his brother, Rick Stevenson, and his sisters, Shelley Frazier and Melissa Deveraux. Scott was a proud grandfather to one granddaughter (Isabella), three grandsons (Christian, Izayah, Izaac), and a great-grandfather to one great-granddaughter (Sienna).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia and Donald Stevenson, and his loyal dog, Buddy.

Scott was a loving husband, proud father, fur-father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, son, and friend. He will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the light he brought into every life he touched. His spirit will live on in every story shared, every laugh remembered, and every sunset over the water he so loved. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Per Scott’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life held for him at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to his wife, Renee Stevenson, and family to assist with medical expenses preceding Scott’s passing.
