Lorraine Rosalee Willard, 88, of Houghton Lake passed away on Wednesday September 18, 2024 at King Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Houghton Lake, with her loving family by her side.
Lorraine was born on October 5, 1935 in Warren, Michigan to Ferdinand and Pearl(Weicher) DuRocher. She grew up in the Utica area, where she graduated from high school. On November 10, 1984 in Roseville, Lorraine was married to Harold D. Willard. The couple moved to Houghton Lake from Sterling Heights in 1984. Lorraine worked as an Office Manager for Follex Supply in Prudenville for over 26 years before her retirement. She was a member of Houghton Lake Eagles, AmVets Auxiliary, and VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, and was a Detroit Tigers fan. Lorraine’s special passion was playing Bingo. .
Surviving Mrs. Willard are her daughter, Michele Marie (Richard) Douglas of New Baltimore; four grandchildren, Robert, Christopher, Amanda, and Chad; five great grandchildren, Robin, Gavin, Roxanne, Zane, and Desiree. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold D. Willard, and son, Craig Edward Nowak.
Funeral Services for Lorraine Rosalee Willard will be conducted at 4:00pm Monday September 23, 2024 from Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel with Rev. Alysia Berthiaume officiating. Interment will be in Centennial Cemetery, New Haven, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday September 23, 2024 from 1:00pm until the time of the service at 4:00pm.
