Carolyn Ann (Gruber) Smith, age 81, passed away peacefully at home on September 17th, 2024.
She was born on April 19th, 1943, to Leo and Ruby (Wirebaugh) Gruber in Lansing, MI. Carolyn married Vernon Smith on May 26th, 1961. Carolyn and her family are long time residents of National City, MI.
She enjoyed crafting and watching NASCAR races. She is survived by her children; Ricky (Carol) Smith, Ann Smith, Tammy (Ed) Harris, Bonnie (Dan) Ulman, and Kevin Smith; grandchildren, Ricky Jr, Edward, Heather, Kimberly, Matthew, Stephanie, Steven, and Zachary; and many adored great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Vernon of 41 years, she is preceded in death by her parents, and brother Duane Gruber.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 21st, 2024, at the Good News Ministries Lutheran Church, 3107 S. M-65, Whittemore, MI 48770, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Good News Ministries Lutheran Church in Carolyn’s name.
