Betty Johnson, 83, of Prudenville

Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Johnson, 83, of  Prudenville passed away on Thursday June 13, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Betty was born on February 14, 1940 in Pontiac, Michigan to Edwin and Freda (Cane) Andrews. She grew up in the Pontiac area,  graduating from Pontiac High School. Betty was an Administrative Secretary for Pontiac Schools for many years until her retirement.  Betty was married on December 5, 1957 in Tijuana, Mexico to Robert Thomas Johnson. The couple moved to Prudenville from Waterford in 1985.  Betty was a member of  the White Deer Golf Club. She was an avid golfer and Pickle Ball player. Her favorite time was spent hanging out with the girls, golfing, playing pickle ball, or playing a night of cards.

Surviving Mrs. Johnson are her two daughters, Debbie Johnson of Harrison, MI, and Cathi (Nikki Richardson) Johnson of Stamping Ground, KY;  two sons, David (Stephanie) Johnson of Columbus, GA, and Robert (Tammi Jo) Johnson Jr. of FL; fifteen grandchildren; Thirteen great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Thomas Johnson; son, Kevin Johnson; and brother, Jim Andrews. 

A Celebration of Life Gathering for Elizabeth Ann Johnson will be conducted at White Deer Golf Club at a later date.  Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.  Memorial contributions in memory of Elizabeth are asked to be directed to the White Deer Golf Club. Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at
