Janet Mae Boyd, age 90, of Roscommon, died on Friday, January 26, 2024, in St. Ignace, Michigan.
Jan was born December 13, 1933, in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Fred and Ellen (Lagerstedt) Clark.
Jan’s faith was very important to her. She had been a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Roscommon, Michigan. Jan will be remembered for seeing the best in everyone. She was always kind and had a lot of friends. Jan had diverse interests. She enjoyed ice skating, especially going really fast. She took up skiing when she was 50 and absolutely loved it. She also liked fly fishing. Jan shot rifles competitively in high school. Jan loved quilting. All the grandchildren received their baby quilt and then another quilt at their graduation. She enjoyed going to yard sales, camping, and puzzles. The family will always remember Jan’s devotion to her fur baby, Muffin.
Jan will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her children: Bruce (Carolyn)
Boyd of Roscommon, Laurie (Rick) Nash of Moran, Michigan; 9 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; twin-brother, John Clark of Austin, Texas; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jan is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; daughter, Jannie; and brother, Don.
Jan will be laid to rest at Gerrish Township Cemetery, Roscommon, Michigan, in the spring.
