Michael Metiva, 70, of Omer

Michael W. Metiva, a loving and friendly man, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2023, in Bay City, MI. Born on May 13, 1953, in Cass City, MI, Michael lived a life full of love, adventure, and joy.

Michael was the cherished husband of Sally Metiva, whom he met and fell in love with, marrying on February 3, 2018. Their love story was one of deep affection and mutual respect, a bond that remained strong until his last day. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Melissa (Roy) Niedzielski, and son, Kyle Metiva. He took great pride in his grandsons, Alexander Metiva and Ethan Niedzielski, who brought immense joy and happiness into his life.

Michael was the beloved brother of Roger (Gayle) Metiva and Dale (Marilyn) Metiva. He also leaves behind multiple nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly. His special friend, Sheena Russell, and her fur baby, Zoe, held a special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Emily Metiva, his sisters, Diane and Donna, and his mother-in-law, Margaret Tittle.

Michael was a man of many interests, with a particular fondness for golf, camping, and traveling. His love for the outdoors was infectious, and he often shared his passion with his family and friends, creating countless memories along the way. His friendly demeanor and loving nature made him a joy to be around, and he was known for his ability to bring laughter and happiness to any gathering.

Formerly from Reese, MI, Michael was a hardworking individual who was respected by his peers and colleagues. His dedication to his work was evident in his commitment and professionalism.
