John C. Lawson, age 70, of Prudenville passed away on Wednesday October 11, 2023 at MyMichigan Medical Center-Midland surrounded by his loving family.
John was born on September 25, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan to Charles and Irene (Smolinski) Lawson. He was an electrical engineer for Chrysler and retired in 2016 after 42 years. John was married on May 7, 1997 in Carmel, California to Anne Marie Goggin. The couple began coming to Prudenville 11 years ago and moved here after they retired. He enjoyed fishing and was a fabulous cook. John was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and great uncle and will be greatly missed.
John is survived by his loving wife of 26 years; Anne Lawson, son; Kyle Lawson, siblings; Katie Grochocki, Nancy (Brian) Pickard and David Lawson and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin sister; Jean Sitler, brother; Robert Lawson and brother-in-law: Mike Grochocki.
Per John’s wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
