Winston “Frenchy” Edward Lefebvre, age 81, of Oscoda, MI passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 27, 1941 in Littleton, New Hampshire to the late Odias Aime and Cora Jane (Wetherbee) Lefebvre. Winston graduated from Littleton High School in 1959 and went on to join the United States Air Force. He was an honored Vietnam Veteran, who proudly served his Country for 23 years. Winston married the love of his life, Elizabeth Ann Naughton on April 15, 1967 and together, they enjoyed 56 years of love and friendship. In his retirement years, Winston enjoyed golfing, traveling, berry picking, making multiple fishing trips to Canada and Alaska and also enjoyed being a member of the VFW and the Knights of Columbus. Above all, he cherished his time spent with his family and his role as grandpa. Winston is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann “Betty”; children, Mary (Ken) Jordan of Turner, MI, Susan (Bill) Scullon on Iron Mountain, MI and Kathleen Serra of Tawas City, MI; twin sister, Wilma (Stuart) Carbonneau of Lisbon, NH; brother-in-law, Richard Naughton of Colorado Springs, CO; sisters-in-law, Pat (Mike) Nelson of Milwaukee, WI and Mary (John) Nowak of Muskego, WI; grandchildren, Kenny, Kallie, Sarah, Nathan, Brooke, Kylee and Haylee (Justin); great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Olivia, Ka’Myla, Seth, Selah and Margaret; Goddaughters, Donna McFarland and Kimberly Murphy and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kassidee Jordan; brother, Odias Lefebvre; sisters, Lorraine Hastings and Caroline Charron; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Florence (Ralph) Lemanski and John Naughton; brothers-in-law, Merton Hastings, Eugene Charron and John “Jack” Naughton and sisters-in-law, Arlene Lefebvre, Jeannie Butero, Rose Naughton and Darlene Naughton. The family will welcome friends on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 10 AM until the time of mass beginning at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oscoda, MI. Interment will take place in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery following the funeral mass. Memorial contributions can be made to a Veterans group of your choice.
