Richard Goeb age 83, of Oscoda, Michigan, passed away peacefully in his home on Forrest Road, Oscoda. God’s angel called his name at 8:10 am, Sunday, August 6, 2023. He is survived by his brothers Carl of Spring Lake Michigan, Jim of Sterling Heights, Michigan, and Jon of Prescott, Michigan. Dick was a single man whose abundant love was shared with all who knew him. When people learned of his passing they all said, “he was such a nice guy.” Though he shared his love in many ways, his favorite gifts were taking people boating and fishing and holding family events in his large, forested yard, where they shared many servings of home cooked food and beverages. And happiness. Dick always displayed a very genuine smile whenever he made people happy. It had that special twinkle that he inherited from his father (Charles) many years ago. Dick’s body will be cremated by Buresh Funeral Home in Oscoda. His ashes will be enshrined at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. There will be no funeral event. A casual celebration will be announced later.
