Nancy R. Foor, age 84, of Gladwin, MI passed away on June 30, 2023. She was born on October 30, 1938 to Leon and Mildred (Burdick) Wade in Beaverton, MI. Nancy attended Standish High School and spent time as a Switchboard Operator for the Marine Corps. She was working at Standish Hospital when she met Jerry Foor. Nancy admitted him after Jerry was hit in the head with a wrench in a roofing accident. Nancy and Jerry married on February 11, 1961. During their marriage, they had two children, Jerry Jr. and Janice. Nancy and Jerry Sr. shared 53 years of marriage prior to Jerry’s death in December 2014.
Prior to her many retirements, Nancy was the Director of Medical Records at the Gladwin Hospital and an adjunct instructor at Mid Michigan College. She was an avid reader, particularly enjoying World War II biographies and murder mysteries. However, Nancy’s favorite pastime was spending time with her grand and great grandchildren. Nancy was a kind soul and loved her family more than anything.
Left to treasure her memory are children, Jerry (Shannon) Foor and Jan (Gus) Noteboom; grandchildren, Zach (Kayla) Krahner, Becky Noteboom, Kalob Burr, Tayler Foor, and Jessica Foor; great grandchildren, Mason Krahner, Brady Krahner, and Vivian Harrell-Foor; four-legged companion, Fritz; and many extended family members.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Mildred Wade; siblings, David Wade and Dorothy Trombley; and husband, Jerry Foor Sr.
Funeral services are tentative for Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin.
