Cesar P. Casten Jr. 76, of Standish, MI passed away on July 16, 2023, peacefully at home with his family and friends by his side. Cesar was born and raised in Batangas, Philippines on October 9, 1946. He graduated medical school from University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center (UERMMMC) College of Medicine, and he married Sandra Torres in 1970. They moved to Michigan in 1981, where he made his home in Standish for over 40 years. Known to most as “Doc”, he served as a family physician and loved the community and people that he worked with. He adored his family and friends and spoiling his grandchildren. He loved playing golf (especially at the Pine River Golf Course) and was a car enthusiast. He was a member of Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church in Standish. He had a very generous heart, a great ability to make others smile and his sense of humor will be missed.
Cesar is survived by his wife of 52 years – Sandra. His children Chris (Amanda), Robert (Sarah), and Lesli (Brad). He has 6 grandkids – Addyson, Lucas, Anna, Roc, Miriam, and Xavier; his siblings Marieta (Jess), Gumer (Sonia), Ronald (Michelle), and Dolly (sister-in-law); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Cesar L. and Maria P. Casten and his brother Louie.
Celebration of life will be determined at a later time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Standish Chapel.
