Lynda Florence MacAlpine (Lewis), age 82 of Lupton, MI., passed away on May 30, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Lynda was born on August 26, 1940 in Pontiac, MI., to the late Lyndell and Fanny (Poffenbarger) Lewis.
Lynda married the love of her life, Ronald MacAlpine, on May 14, 1966. They lived in Waterford, MI., for many years raising two sons, Shanley and Mark. In 1991 they moved to Lupton retiring there and spending many wonderful years participating in the community. Ron and Lynda were members of the Rods and Relics Car Club of West Branch, MI. They were avid motorcycle riders and attended the Midnight ride of Paul Revere over the Mackinaw Bridge several times. Lynda was a home maker, but she loved being involved in many nonprofits. She belonged to the Hale Methodist Church participating in the quilting and crocheting groups. She belonged to the Quilt Guild and Sewing Circle of Hale. She volunteered at FISH regularly as well as the VFW. She also taught quilting to the local school kids. She loved cross stitch and ornament making. Lynda made many baby blankets for family members and other hand-made gifts. She and Ron loved gardening and maintaining the flower beds. They vacationed in Florida for over 20 years where she belonged to the Red Hat Society both in Florida and Michigan.
Lynda is survived by her husband, Ron; sons, Shanley MacAlpine and Mark MacAlpine.
Lynda is preceded in death by her parents, Lyndell and Fanny Lewis.
Services for Lynda will be held on Monday June 5, 2023 at the Buresh Funeral Home in Hale, MI. Visitation 10:00 – 1:00, Funeral 1:00, followed by a luncheon at the Hale Methodist Church.
