Darwin Baker, 88, of Gladwin

Darwin Stanton Baker, 88, of Gladwin, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. He was born in Detroit on October 29, 1934, the son of Darwin H. and Florence M. (Martin) Baker. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean era from 1955-1958. On August 31, 1985 he was united in marriage to Judith N. Scrace in Prudenville. He was employed for Ford Motor Company as a draftsman for 37 years until his retirement in 1994. Darwin moved to Gladwin in 2010, previously residing in Indiana, Tennessee, and Southern Michigan. He was a member of the VFW (Life Member), American Legion, Moose, Eagles, and P.L.A.V.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Judy Baker; children: Darwin (Kim) Baker Jr., Paul Baker, Mary (Jim) Cicala, Ann (Ray) Jensen, Carol (John) Jendrezak; step children: Denise (Fred) Ducharme, Dennis (Nydia) Ducharme along with 17 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He is proceeded in death by his parents and sisters: Gloria A. Snyder and Joyce Edson.
