Geraldine ‘Gerri’ Zdanowski, 79, passed away Friday May 5, 2023, with family by her side. Gerri was born in Detroit MI on June 7, 1943 to the late Adolph and Lottie (Oleksiak) Balikowski. She married Clarence Zdanowski on June 22, 1963, in Detroit MI. Gerri enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also loved her extended Florida family as well. She was a lifelong Detroit Tiger fan. Some of Gerri’s enjoyments were snowmobiling, golfing, bowling, and camping. She was also affiliated with the American Legion, The Moose, and The Elks.
She is survived by her sister Christine Balikowski (Pat Biringer), children Jeff (Anne) Zdanowski of Frankenmuth, Brian (Amy) Zdanowski of Grand Rapids, Kevin (Tina) Zdanowski of Tawas, five grandchildren, Aryka, Sydney, Adam, Travis, and Isabella; two great-grandchildren, Aksyl and Jessa. She is preceded in death by loving husband Clarence Zdanowski.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday May 10, 2023, at 7:00 pm at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Standish Chapel with Kathy Bersano presiding. Family will greet friends at the funeral home Wednesday May 10, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. With private burial in Mt. Elliott Cemetery in Detroit, MI. Family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to The Brook of West Branch and Heartland Hospice for the compassionate care given to Gerri.
