George Thomas Hodgkinson

George Thomas Hodgkinson, 81, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at his home with family by his side. He was born in Wyandotte, Michigan on November 27, 1941, to the late Chester and Louise (Julian) Hodgkinson. He married the love of his life, Elaine Szostak on July 29, 1961, at St. Joseph’s in Wyandotte, Michigan. Tom was a retired Hi-Lo Repair Technician after 32 years from the Dearborn Ford Plant. He loved to restore older cars, Pontiac 1936, Chevy 1957, Cougar 1968. Tom enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved his fur friends, Shamie, Savannah and Buddy
He is survived by his son Scott (Kelly) Hodgkinson, daughter, Shelly (Tony) Hays, and son Todd Hodgkinson, 10 grandchildren, Ashley (Joel), Michelle, Kristine, Anthony, Amber (Jacob), Nicholas, Christopher, Elana, Erin, Leanna and 7 great-grandchildren. His siblings include Donald (Erika), Marie, Joe (Alicia), Yvonne and brother-in-law Edward Williams. He was preceded in death by Patricia Williams, David Hodgkinson and brother-in-law Edward Kuciemba.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday May 20, 2023, at 3:00 pm at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Standish Chapel with Kathy Bersano presiding with Military Funeral Honors, inurnment to follow. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. The family would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to Compassus Hospice for the compassionate care given to Tom.
