Steven Wayne Miller

Age 58, of Wilber Township, Michigan, passed away on April 9, 2023, at his home. Steven was born in Toledo, Ohio, on December 21, 1964, to Terry Miller and Patricia Schultz. He grew up in the Dundee, Michigan area, and was a graduate of the 1983 Dundee High School graduating class. Following high school, Steven entered the Marines, where he proudly served six years for our country. He was stationed at the Selfridge Air National Guard Base located in Harrison Township, Michigan. In 1999, he moved himself up to Tawas, Michigan, and started his job with Kassuba Construction, where he spent 20 hard working years. In June of 2006, he married the love of his life, Heather Miller, and the two shared 16 amazing years together. Some of Steven’s many hobbies consisted of hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors any chance he got. Steven was a very well-liked guy, and he will be missed by many.

Steven is survived by his wife, Heather Miller; children, Amber (Niel Dayringer) Miller, Joshua (Cheyanne Johnson) Wallin, and Hannah Wallin; grandchild, Emrys Dayringer; parents, Patricia (Robert) Alvarez and Terry (Jan) Miller; brothers, Robert Alvarez Jr. and Anthony (Sara) Alvarez; sisters, Shelbey (Carl) Carter, Stephanie (Jerome) Howell, and Christina (Cori) Alvarez; and nieces and nephews, Josie Monroe, and William Monroe.

There will be a service for Steven on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City, Michigan. The family will welcome public for a time of visitation from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with a funeral beginning at 1:00 PM. Following the ceremony, Steven will be cremated.
