Jerry Edward Hall, age 85, of Prescott, MI passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Bay Regional Medical Center in Bay City, MI. He was born on December 13, 1937 in Prescott, MI to John & Daisy (Moore) Hall. He graduated from Flint Beecher High School. Jerry was a member of The US Army from 1957-1959 and for 6 years after, served in the reserves. He married Velda Marie Barnett on July 1, 1968 in Flint, MI. Jerry worked in construction most of his life. He loved to dance, ride his motorcycle and in his younger days, raced motorcycles, snowmobiles and canoes. Any place there was competition he was involved. He attended the Whittemore United Methodist Church and was a lifelong member of the Gideons. He loved Bible Study and took several trips to Africa as a missionary. In 1974, he and Velda had a son, Harlow Will Hall. He retired in 2012 and moved to Prescott.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Velda; sons, Harlow and his wife Louann, and Mark; grandchildren, Blain, Tyler, Hailie, and Kailin; brother, John James; sisters, Cheryl, Karin, Kristi, and Tammy; brothers-in-law, Harold (Renee), Tim (Mona), Donald (Deb), sisters-in-law, Elaine (Lanny), Sharon; many nieces & nephews, cousins and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, John, Scott, and John Michael, sisters-in-law Carol, and Jenny and brothers-in-law, John and Leroy
Visitation will take place at the Prescott Chapel of the Buresh Funeral Home on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 5 to 8 PM. Services will be at 12:00 PM at the Whittemore United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 29, 2023 with Pastor Gary Gillings officiating.
