The beautiful soul of Dorothy Louise Babcock left this world peacefully with her granddaughter, Heather, by her side on April 12, 2023. She was born in Gladwin, Michigan to the late Richard and Olga (Krause) Endert on November 2, 1925. She met and married the love of her life Donald L. Babcock and together they shared many years together that were full of love, laughter, and many years of hard work on their farm.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. Long time member of Our Savior Lutheran Church where she enjoyed singing with her sisters. She enjoyed crocheting, needle point, working on the farm, and had a colorful vocabulary that always kept her loved ones on their toes.

Dorothy is lovingly remembered by her granddaughters, Heather Kidd,Vanessa (Josh) Porter, grandsons, Justin Babcock, Mitchell (Kayla) Babcock, great grandchildren Liberty, Henrik, Braiden, and Harlen, sister, Elfrieda Gatz, niece, Karen (Jerry) Krigner, and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She is also survived by son, Michael (Susan) Babcock, grandchildren, Shelley (Jake) Cary, James (Melissa) Hawley, Veronica (Mike) Kruskamp, and Jonathon Babcock, and great grandchildren.

Dorothy is predeceased by her spouse, Donald L. Babcock, her son, Thomas J. Babcock, granddaughter, Kaylin J. Babcock, her infant brother, Richard Endert, her sisters, Helen Spross, Mildred Simon, Elsie Strohkirch, Esther Wright.

According to her wishes, a graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at McClure Cemetery in Gladwin, Michigan with Pastor Adam Flanick. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Gladwin Chapel. Those wishing to express sympathy to the loved ones of Dorothy are asked in lieu of flowers to consider Our Savior Lutheran Church of Gladwin.
