James Henry Pirie, 77, Higgins Lake died March 27, 2023 at home in the presence and comfort of loved ones.
Loving husband of 48 years to Jackie (Caudill), adoring father to Jennifer (Chad) Fauskee, and “Over the Moon” Papa to James (Jim’r). Little Jim’r would follow Papa everywhere and they fondly became known as “The two Jims”. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Enterprise and retired from GM after 30 years of service. He and Jackie retired to Higgins Lake in 2005 to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the lake and its surroundings.
He was preceded in death by his father James Carson Pirie and mother Katharine “Kay” Pirie (Kirkendall). Along with his immediate family he leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
The family chooses to remember him privately at this time and will have a celebration of life at a later date. Donations may be made in his memory to Hospice of Michigan or the Roscommon County Animal Shelter. Arrangements provided by Christler Funeral Home-Houghton Lake Chapel.
