Thomas Edward Needham III, age 70, of Roscommon, died on Monday, January 30, 2023, at his home in the presence and comfort of his family.
Tom was born October 3, 1952, in Wyandotte, Michigan, the son of Thomas and Shirley (Warner) Needham.
Tom married Claudia Pogoda on October 19, 2002, in Plymouth, Michigan.
Tom will be remembered for loving his passion for his career as an Ironworker. His co-workers considered him a very important person in their lives and career. Tom loved living up north and enjoying everything it had to offer. He liked to go snowmobiling, side-by-side riding, boating, and hunting. Tom just loved being outdoors. Tom was a very involved member of the Grayling Moose Lodge #1162, especially for the last 10 years.
Tom will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Claudia of over 20 years; children: Boneva Marie Needham of Ann Arbor, Thomas (Jennifer) Needham IV of Westland, Eric Pogoda of Livonia, Jessica (Thomas) Kelley of Almont, Kristi Pogoda of Sterling Heights; grandchildren: Bailey, Rylee, Emalyn; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents and his late wife, Bonnie Jo (St. Louis) Needham.
Tom’s family has chosen to remember him privately at this time. The family will be having a Celebration of Life downstate and a Memorial Service at the Grayling Moose Lodge #1162 in March.
