Nancy Mercier, 88, of Gladwin

Nancy Sue Mercier, age 88, passed away early Saturday morning February 10, 2023, at her home with her family at her side. She was born on January 20, 1935, in Flushing, Michigan to the late Don & Helen (Rouleau) Warren. She graduated from Flint Central High School where she played the trumpet in the band and still sharing the enjoyment of music. She met and married Harry Mercier on May 8, 1954, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Flint, Michigan, they shared 67 years full of laughter and memories. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2022. She was retired from AC Spark Plug the Dort Highway Plant and a member of the UAW Local 651. Nancy was a devoted member to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin, Michigan. She enjoyed the out of doors snowmobiling, boating, fishing, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a former member of the Genesee Snowmobiling Club and a member of the Secord Eagles Auxiliary.

Nancy is survived by her children; Larry (Debbie) Mercier, Denis Mercier, Diane Moore, and Keith Mercier, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Her in laws Jim (Marjorie) Mercier, Kate June Jackett, Caroline Kettererr, Chuck (Barbara) Mercier, and Francis (Kathy) Mercier and many nieces and nephews, also special cousins Rena Ward and Norma Riemel. She was predeceased by sister-in-law, Marge Miller.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5191 Richfield Rd., Flint, Michigan 48506 on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 11:00 am with Rev. Fr. Roy Horning presiding with burial in Meadowview Memorial Park. Family will greet friends and family at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Gladwin Chapel, 135 North Silverleaf St., Gladwin, Michigan on Friday, February 17, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. A Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 pm at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Chapel – Gladwin, Michigan. On Saturday, February 18, 2023, family will greet friends and family at the church from 10:00 am until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Mission, Gladwin Michigan.
