Ronald Leon Trezona, age 93, of Tawas City, Michigan formerly of Bay City, Michigan passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Medilodge in Tawas City, Michigan. Ron was born January 22, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Mr. Chester Trezona and the late Mrs. Agnes (Dettman) Trezona.
Ron graduated from Handy High School in Bay City, Michigan where he excelled in several sports and music. Ron is a Korean war veteran who served 3 years in the Armed Forces as an Air Force Radio Operator. Once he returned to Michigan, he married his sweetheart Rose Marie (Sharp) Trezona on February 14, 1953. They were married for almost 50 years before her passing in December 2002. Ron worked at Jennison Hardware in Bay City, Michigan for over 38 years while raising his family in Bay City and Standish, Michigan. He performed part-time as a jazz drummer for over 40 years, touring with band members who became lifelong friends. He will be remembered for his heart felt love for his wife and family, his warm and giving spirit, and his passion for jazz music.
Ron is survived by his son, Daniel (Josie) Trezona; grandson, Ralph (Stephanie) Guevara; grandson, Spencer (Jenny) Trezona; granddaughter, Amber (Charlie) Tiffner; granddaughter Daniella Rose Trezona; several great and great great grandchildren; and extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his daughter Deborah Jane Trezona, his grandson Antonio Nicholaus Guevara, and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in law. Ron’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Medilodge, Tawas and Heartland Hospice for the incredible care and comfort that they provided Ron over the last few years.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held from 2 – 6:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Buresh Funeral Home, 416 Whittemore St. Tawas City, Michigan.
