Rachel P. Simrau “Smurf”, age 26, of Hale, MI and formerly of Owosso, MI passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 21, 2023. She was born on July 17, 1996 in Howell, MI to Jeffery and Tanya Manis (Evans).
Rachel has lived in the Hale area since 2019 and married Tyler Simrau on November 21, 2020.
She enjoyed being outdoors, 4 wheeling, fishing, driving, baking and most especially spending time with her family.
Rachel is survived by her husband, Tyler; her two children, Owen and Gannan; parents Jeffery and Tanya Manis of Hale, MI, sister Courtney Nichols of Owosso, MI; paternal grandmother Margaret (Mike) Hegadorn of West Branch, MI; paternal grandfather Vern (Darlene) Manis of Milford, MI; maternal grandparents Larry (Rosemary) Evans of Fenton, MI; 2 nephews, Ethan and Xander and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
