Maryanne Steelman, age 80, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022, at The Brook in West Branch. She was born May 8, 1942 in Clio to Theodore and Thelma (Hobson) Kuehl.
Maryanne lived in Clio until she moved to West Branch in 1965. She was a member of the West Branch United Methodist Church where she spent many years as an organist and pianist. Maryanne was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter in West Branch. Her passion was planting her flowers and making her yard beautiful. She also enjoyed taking cruises, traveling, and shopping. In her earlier years Maryanne took up oil painting, china painting and stained glass. She was very accomplished in all of them and took pride in everything she did. Her biggest pride though was her family.
Maryanne is survived by her son Cliff (Evelyn) Gross of Standish; daughter Sheri (Bill) Sanderson of Comins; grandchildren Steven Deacey of Grand Forks, ND and Kimberlea (Jimmy) Bieri of Mio; great grandchildren Willow, Stormie, and Kendall; sister Katie Gordon of Clio; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later time.
