Kimberly Sue Smykla, 69, of Gladwin passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday November 29,2022.
She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August 8, 1953 to the late Douglas and Wilma (Wilson) Childers. She married Michael “Mike” Smykla in June of 1977 at Newport News, Virginia, he survives her. Kim was retired from St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor and enjoying her grandchildren. She like reading & learning about new things, being with her animals and loved the ocean’s sounds and views.
Surviving besides her husband of 45 years are two daughters Paula & Charles Brace and Regina; 3 grandchildren Kaylee, Abigail and Jacob; her siblings Howard Childers, 2 sisters Jean Smith and Debbie Reynolds. She was preceded in death by a sister Diane Childers.
Honoring Kim’s wishes no services will be held and cremation has taken place.
