On December 25, 2022, Jerry W. McCauley, loving father, grandfather, and soon to be great grandfather, passed away at age 83. The son of the late Daniel and Amanda (Sarrine) McCauley Sr., Jerry was born on September 28, 1939, in Saginaw, MI.
Jerry married Bonnie B. Bowers at the Hale First United Methodist Church in 1964. They shared 49 wonderful years together until Bonnie’s passing in 2013.
He worked many odd jobs throughout his life including being a cook in his family’s business when they owned the Camp Grand Resort in Long Lake, MI. He also enjoyed his own business of opening and closing cabins for people in the sixty-lake area, which he continued to do up until a few years ago.
One of his biggest joys was his granddaughter who he loved watching play sports. Especially softball.
Jerry is survived by his daughter Robin, granddaughter Morgan, soon to be great grandson Waylon, and brother Benjamin (Celia). He is preceded in death by his wife Bonnie; brothers, William, Daniel Jr.; sister, Nancy.
