George Wylie, 76, of Gladwin

George Wylie, 76, of Gladwin, MI passed away at Covenant Health Care, Saginaw, MI on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. He was born June 30, 1946 the son of George and Grace (Hoag) Wylie in Detroit, MI. After graduating from High School George enlisted into the United States Army where he served during the Vietnam War for three years. In March 1968, he married his true love Rosa Woodbury in Midland. Together they shared 54 years of marriage. After George left the Military he began working as a manufacturer for Simpsons Industries. In his spare time George loved hunting and fishing at Sanford Lake.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Tammi McCreary, Margaret (Dan) Collins, and Barry Wylie; grandchildren: Evelyn (Parks), Jacob, Keagan, Austin, and Lillian; great-grandchild: Amirah; sisters: Wanda, Donna (Dave) and Mary (Stewart); along with several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents: George and Grace Wylie; wife: Rosa; sister: Margaret; son: George II; and grandsons: Jack and Joshua.

Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home.
