Kevin Elliott, 59, of Roscommon

Kevin Joseph Elliott, age 59, of Roscommon, died on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at his home.

Kevin was born February 1, 1963, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the son of Joseph and Geraldine (Sass) Elliott. He lived in Bellville, MI until moving to Roscommon in 1975. He graduated from Roscommon High School and then went on to earn an associate degree from Kirtland Community College and a bachelor’s degree from Ferris State College.

Having a loving relationship for more than 25 years, Kevin and Sandy Altman were married on September 26, 2015.

Kevin worked as a salesman at Don Nester’s Auto Group for 32 years, retiring in June of 2017. Since retiring, he had a successful handyman business and was also currently working at Forest Dunes Golf Course. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved boating and fishing and did both all his life. He also enjoyed kayaking, golfing, snowmobiling, ATV’s, motorcycling, operating radio-controlled boats and airplanes, and being in the woods with his chainsaw. Kevin will always be remembered for having a quick wit and sense of humor that could put a smile on anyone’s face.

Kevin will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandy; brother, Keith Elliott; sister, Pam (Dwight) Davis; nephew, Derek (Meghan) Elliott, niece, Meredith (Matt) Gardner; great-nephews, Holden, Hayes, Harrison, and Avery, and great-niece, Penelope; as well as many cousins, and friends.

Kevin is preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Gregory Davis; and sister-in-law, Susan Elliott.

Family and friends will gather from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, September 23, 2022, at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, 143 Lake Street, Roscommon, Michigan. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, September 24, 2022, with an hour of gathering prior to the service, at St. John Lutheran Church, 710 Spruce Street, Grayling, Michigan 49738.
