Mary Karen Sargent, age 71, passed away peacefully at home after a brief, but courageous fight with lung cancer on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.
Mary was born May 25, 1951, in Detroit, MI, to Kenneth and Mary Adler. She grew up in Warren, MI where she met her high school sweetheart, who became her husband of over 40 years.
Mary loved her family and was very committed to her children and grandchildren, often sacrificing to give them whatever they needed or wanted. She was a kind and generous woman, not just to her family, but to her community of friends and faith.
She is survived by her husband, Jerome; her children, Tammy Thompson and Marian (Luke) Pandzich; and her grandchildren, Madison and Christopher Pandzich and James and Kenneth Thompson.
A celebration of her life will take place at the family home in Lewiston, MI, on September 3, 2022. More details will be posted as they are available.
Mary’s family is requesting no flowers to be sent, instead, if you would like to make a donation in her honor, the family will be accepting them for funeral expenses.
