Cleta Summers, 87, of Beaverton, MI passed away at her home Sunday, August 14, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born August 23, 1934, the only child of Aubry and Aleene (Smith) Barbour in Poplar Bluff, MO. Cletas family moved a lot when she was younger and she attended schools in Pitcher, OK, Pittsburgh and Long Beach, CA, Snohomish, WA, Monette and Poplar Bluff, MO and graduated from Ferndale High School. She married Samuel Summers on June 20, 1951, lasting 62 years until his death on October 18, 2012. Above all else Cleta was dedicated to her family. She loved spending time with each and every family member.
Left to cherish her memory are her 6 sons: Edward (Patrice), Steven (Sherry), David (Karen), Thomas (Connie), Joseph (Tracy); 13 grandchildren: Michael, Brianne, Eric, Stacey, Alec, Nicole, Maile, Connie, Jessica, Neil, Breanna, Taylor, and Kaylyn; 15 great-grandchildren: Reed, Grant, Kaylie, Kolin, Mason, Braydon, Alyssa, Shelby, Vivian, Hank, Wyatt, Theo, Claire, Charolette and Walker.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her son: Dennis on April 21, 2004
Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton, MI beginning at 11:00 A.M. The family will be receiving guests from 3:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. on Friday, August 19, 2022 at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton, MI. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home.
