Wayne Reithel, 85, passed away peacefully with family by his side on July 9, 2022. Wayne was born August 30, 1936 in New Era, Michigan to Edward and Verna (Van Dyke) Reithel. In 1944 the family moved to Gladwin (Oberlin) to help on the family farm which included a store and post office. Wayne wore many hats in his life time, dairy farmer, car wash owner, and security guard. His real love was the state of Florida where he lived from 1980-2014. In 2014 he came back to Michigan to be closer to family to help with his care.
Wayne is survived by his daughters: Kim Persky, and Kelli (Scott) Adams; sister: Sandy (David) Young; grandchildren: Lyndsy (Kevin) Bock, Jamie (Jared) Renner, Carrie (Drew Cantrell) Persky, Aaron (Melissa) Adams, Austin (Amber) Adams, and Alyssa (Jake) Wyrembelski; great grandchildren: Kendon Bock, Konnor Bock, Lena, Lane Renner, Noah, Savanna, Lucas Adams, Azalea Adams, Caius, Ruthie Wyrembelski; nieces: Anne Flattery, Stacey Carter, and Jill Dinius.
He is proceeded in death by his parents.
