Donald D. Kreil was born in 1932 in Vassar, MI to Anthony and Ellen Kreil. He was one of 7 children. Two brother: David and Walter Kreil survive him.
His wife, Merreill, died in 2017 after 61 year of marriage.
He has 3 surviving children: Andrea Hansens (Phillip) of Midland, MI; Douglas and Ophelia Kreil of Las Vegas, Nevada; and John (Denise) Kreil of Gladwin, MI; along with 3 grandchildren: Desiree and Neil Surur of Las Vegas; Connor Kreil of Gladwin; and Ricky Ott.
Donald attended Vassar High School and graduated in 1951. He joined the Air Force and served until 1958. In 1956, he married Merreill Eimers. He was employed at Valley Manufacturing in Bay City, MI from 1959-1999 and retired as director of purchasing after 40 years. H
e enjoyed bowling, golfing, and growing prize-wining roses. Donald also enjoyed football and casino trips.
