Lester Leonard Roberts, 63, of Higgins Lake

Lester Leonard Roberts, age 63, of Higgins Lake, died on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at his home.

Lester was born November 15, 1958, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of Lawrence and Virginia (Sackett) Roberts.

Lester enjoyed drawing and painting. His favorite holiday was Halloween, and was known for creating lifelike Halloween costumes and haunted houses. Lester’s favorite rock band to listen to was Kiss, especially Gene Simmons. His hobby was repairing small engine’s. He enjoyed conversation over coffee and will be remembered for his compassionate ability to lend an ear. Lester was very creative and will be remembered for his kind, loving soul.

Lester will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by: his longtime significant other, Robin Sokolik, and her daughter Skye with whom he resided; his children: Jessica Fitzpatrick of Monroe, Michigan, Joseph (Bethany) Roberts of Oxford, Alabama, and Jennifer Cortez also of Oxford, Alabama; 6 Granddaughters, 5 Grandsons: Isabelle, Jeremy, Shyla, Skye, Dyson, Scarlett, Connor, Chelsea, Chase, Addison, and Lucas; 1 great grandchild: Zeke; sisters: Marlene (Paul) Fitch of Dundee, Michigan, and Jacqueline (Roger) Garst of Petersburg, Michigan; brothers: Lawrence (Vincene) Roberts of Lambertville, Michigan, and James (Carol) Roberts of Oregon, Ohio, Robin Roberts of Dundee, Michigan, and Daniel (Diane) Roberts of Erie, Michigan; Uncle “Jack” Lester (Gini) Sackett of Cambridge, Massachusetts; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Lester is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ronald P. Roberts.

Lester’s family has chosen to remember him privately at this time.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
