Joe Pellens, 83, of Long Lake

Francis Joseph Pellens passed away June 12, 2022, at his home in Hale, MI. Joe was born in Flint, MI on August 14, 1938, to Earl & Elizabeth (Pearce) Pellens. He is formerly of Flushing, MI where he graduated from high school and continued his education at Central Michigan University, earning a Master of Business Administration. He married the love of his life, Beverly Boka in 1976. Joe joined the Navy in 1956 serving for 3 years. After being honorably discharged he worked for General Motors Corp. for 30 years, retiring in 1992 and then moved to their summer cottage on Long Lake, MI. Joe enjoyed golfing, fishing, and boating. He was a member of the Shriners and Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, children, Matthew (Kimberly), Lynn, Bradley, Brian (Annette); sisters, Ann and Ethel; grandchildren, Chris, Ryan, Kyle (Nikki), Breann, Madison (Derrick), Olivia, Joseph Jack, Brandon (Michelle); great grandchildren, Kylie, Kendra, Alexandra, Charlotte and the little one on the way; many nieces and nephews; and his cat “Baby”. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Fred Pellens.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Heartland Hospice/Promedica of West Branch and the entire staff. With special thanks to Denise and Kim for their care and compassion. Also, our deepest thanks to our dear friends throughout this time for all their help and support.
