Glen L. Searfoss, 88, of Beaverton, MI passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at MyMichigan Medical Center in Gladwin.
He was born February, 5 1934, the son of Louis and Margret (Nettleton) Searfoss in Gladwin, MI. Glen was a proud veteran of the United States Army. During his time in the Army Glen married his first wife Heidi in Germany with whom he had three kids. After leaving the Army Glen was employed by Presidio’s Garage in Beaverton, MI and Lee Otto GMC/Buick in Gladwin.
Glen was then married to Nora Walton with whom he had one daughter. In 1985 he was united in marriage to Sandra Banchoff, she preceded him in death In 2016.
In his spare time Glen was an avid member of the Beaverton Church of the Nazarene and Church of God in Beaverton. On Mondays Glen was a frequent attendee of the quilting group at the Church of God. When he was not at church Glen loved being outdoors. Some of his favorite things to do were hunting, fishing and gardening.
When Glen was not hunting or fishing you could find him up in Grayling, MI camping and enjoying nature. He spent many weekends and months at a time enjoying what Grayling had to offer.
Glen is survived by his children: Jerry (Becky) Searfoss, Rick (Bonnie) Searfoss, Tina Searfoss, Glenda (Jason) Baldridge, and Dawn (Mike) Schneider; grandchildren: Travis, Krista, Erica, Gary (Brandy), Jasmine, Joshua, Angela, Chris, and Lydia; great-grandchildren: Johnathan, Jakob, Cruz, Connor, Brennen, Enrique, Niccolo, Isabella, Savannah, Nevaeh and Ke’mora.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Sandra; parents; siblings; and nephew: Floyd.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 27, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, MI. The family will be receiving guests Sunday, June 26, 2022 beginning from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, MI. Glen will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Gladwin. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, MI.
