Donald Germain, 96, of Grayling

Donald Carl Germain, 96, of Grayling, passed away on June 13, 2022. He was born in Flint, Michigan on February 21, 1926 to Carl and Margaret Germain. He married Patricia Kucharek in August 2000. Pat preceded him in death in 2019.

Don served in the US Navy and was truly a patriotic man. He enlisted in 1944 and was honorably discharged in 1953. He enjoyed wandering in the woods, hunting, fishing, metal detecting, and loved the Detroit Tigers. Don enjoyed bowling and was proud of bowling a 300. When his health limited outdoor activities, he read a lot. Don attended Grayling Baptist Church.

Survived by his extended stepfamilies: Jim Whaley, Betty and Lee Bresmon, Nora and Jack Clark; Nancy and Steve Kapets. Daniel Kelsey, Steven Kelsey, Karen Conquest, and Carla Hartig. Preceded in death by his first wife Gracie, second wife Pat, stepdaughter Jeannie Whaley, and brother Douglas Germaine.

No public services are planned. Arrangements by Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home.
