Clark Wentz, 85, of Beaverton

Clark Eugene Wentz, 85, of Beaverton, MI, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. Clark was born on June 5, 1937 to Robert & Dorothy (Haire) Wentz of Shepherd, MI.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sandra Wentz of Beaverton.  He is survived by his children: Clark (Joann) Wentz Jr. of Lansing, Chris (Christine) Wentz of Gladwin, Cinnamon Wentz of Bay City, Candie Wentz of Gladwin; Stepsons: Owen Crawford and Kent (Lynda) Crawford of Gladwin and son in law, Andrew Peek of Mt. Pleasant, MI.  Clark is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Clark is also survived by many siblings: Sandra (Gearhart) Fellows, Orlin (Kay) Wentz, Phyllis Roberts and companion, Richard Wilson, Marilynn (Boyd) Hodges, Madeline (Gary) Larose, Chuck (Ruth) Wentz, Kenny (Sherri) Wentz and Kathy (Dan) Peacock. He is predeceased by his parents, in-laws, Lyle & Vera Parker, brother, Arthur Wentz and his grandson, Brad Wentz.

Clark graduated from Shepherd High School in 1955. He served in the Air Force for 3 years. Following his military time, he went back to work at Dow Chemical and worked 37 years before retiring in 1991. After retiring, he worked 17 years for Gladwin County City Transit as a driver where he was known as “Turtle”.  Clark loved his Goldwing and was a lifetime member of the Goldwing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) of Michigan Chapter J2.  He also served on Beaverton City Council. Clark also loved to play games, especially card games.

In following Clark’s wishes, there will be no funeral or service to be held at this time.  The family would like to thank Grace Hospice for Clark’s care and services, especially Terrilynn, Lee and his nurses.  For those wishing to make a donation in Clark’s memory, please consider the Parkinson’s Foundation or Grace Hospice.
