Lois K. Moran, Roscommon, Michigan died at home with her family by her side on May 26, 2022, at the age of 95.
There will be no visitation or service at this time. A private family service will take place at a later date. Lois was born August 23, 1926 in Osage, IA, the daughter of Maximillian “Ralph” and Hedwig “Hattie” (Gemaehlich) Lorenz. She graduated from Osage High School in Iowa in 1944. She married her high school sweetheart, Richard J. Moran, on January 14, 1945.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Houghton Lake, Michigan. She worked many years for the Houghton Lake Public Schools in the library and as a teacher’s aide.
Preceding her in death is her husband of 74 years, Richard J. Moran, and sister, Eunice (Lorenz) Anderson.
Lois is survived by her five children, Timothy J. Moran of Marshall; Katharine M. (Stewart) Scott of Macomb; Daniel P. (Peggy) Moran of Merritt; David R. (Carrie) Moran of Marshall; and Rebekah J. (Jim) Leedy of Houghton Lake; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and sister, Janice (John) Lorenz Miller.
