John Barry Smith, 59, of Gladwin, MI passed away April 30, 2022 at his home. He was born November 23, 1962 the son of Gaylond and Margaret (Leitner) Smith in Pontiac, MI.
He was a graduate from Beaverton High School in Beaverton, MI in 1980. In 1982 John enlisted in the United States Army. After leaving the service John was a Glazier for Giroux Glass out of Las Vegas, Nevada.
John lived a life of adventure and loved the outdoors. He had many hobbies, his latest was working on his Jeep with his son Justin. John loved being surrounded by his family and would do anything for them.
John is survived by his children: Justin (Angie) and Casey Smith; parents: Gaylond and Marsha Smith; siblings: Rob (Lynn) Deb, Ronnie (Kelly), Christopher (Tonce), Clifford (Gina) and Kathleen (Mike); grandchildren: Nicholas, Nathaniel, Victoria, Annabelle and Dominic.
John is preceded in death by his mother: Peggy Hall; and both paternal and maternal grandparents.
Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, MI.
