Jack L. Worthy, 80, of Gladwin, passed away Monday May 23, 2022, at the home he built on Secord Lake for his loving family that surrounded him.
He was born in Mecosta, Michigan on February 16, 1942, to the late Leonard & Jeanice (Thomas) Worthy. He married the former Jody Wackerle on January 1, 1990, at the Wagarville United Methodist Church, she survives him.
Jack was retired from the Midland City Police Department as an Administrative Lieutenant after 32 years of service. He enjoyed his time at the lake boating on the pontoon, fishing, deer hunting, golfing, socializing and a game of pool at the Secord Eagles 4121.
Surviving besides his wife of 32 years are their family Gregg Worthy, Ryan & Tiffany Grocholski, Bridget & Travis Williams; a son in law Terry McLaughlin; grandchildren Nicole & Scott Bailey, Matthew & Tiara Worthy, Ashley Worthy, Emeryn Williams and Barrett Williams; 5 great grandchildren and twins expected in the fall. He was preceded in death by a daughter Monica McLaughlin, his siblings Phyllis Grove, Phillip Worthy, Barbara Edward, Donald Worthy and a special friend Denny Gravis.
Funeral services will be held Thursday May 26, 2022, at 6 pm from the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-GLADWIN CHAPEL with Pastor Jim Beck presiding. Family will greet friends and family at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 2 to 6 pm.
