Frank A. Engel, 59 years old of Mio, Michigan, passed away at Horizon Assisted Living in St. Helen, Michigan on Thursday, April 28, 2022. He had lived there after having a bad stroke 6 years ago.
Frank was born in Pontiac, Michigan on March 23, 1963 to Merlin and Lucille (Priester) Engel. He moved to Mio at a young age with his parents and lived in Mio his whole life until the stroke. Frank worked for tree service companies. He always enjoyed fishing, hunting, morel mushroom picking, and blueberry picking. One of his favorite days was Opening Day of Trout season…he loved to see who would get the biggest trout.
Frank is survived by his brother Gary Engel and his wife Kim Engel of Atlanta, MI; his sister Marge Keith and her husband Warren Keith of Atlanta, MI; and one very special Aunt Sister Margaret Mary. Many nieces and nephews also survive him. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jim Engel, and his sisters: Carolyn Utley and JoAnn Melby.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a small Lunch/Memorial, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at Clinton Township Hall on June 18, 2022 in Comins, MI. Those that would like to join family and friends are welcome to come share memories of Frank.
