Betty Wildfong, 98, of Curran

Betty Jane Wildfong, age 98 of Curran, Michigan, passed away at The Home at Wellspring Lutheran Services in Fairview, Michigan on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

Betty was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 23, 1924, to Rev. Naaman and Margaret (Parker) Stemen. She married Wilbur Wildfong on September 27, 1941. Betty was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, crafting, quilting, sewing, gardening and flowers.

Surviving are her children: Connie (Terry) Brilinski, Wilbur (Anna) Wildfong, and Eli (Patricia) Wildfong; her 9 grandchildren: Barbara (Jeff) Grunder, Leslie (Rick) Fortin, Lori (Joel) Walker, Kimberly (Jeff) Richards, Natalie Wildfong (Marc), Heidi (Thomas) Purvis, Angie Wildfong, Leah Kuehne, and Holly (Tim) Carter; and 56 great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sisters-in-law: Hazel and Muriel Wildfong, several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her special friends: Sherrie and Kim Zinker & family and Curt Reynolds & family.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wilbur Wildfong, her grandson Bradley Brilinski, her brothers: Ernest (Barbara) Stemen, Carl (Lucille) Stemen and Floyd (Mary) Stemen; her sisters: Marie (Austin) Brown and Claudia (Lowell) Berhardt; and her brothers-in-law: Leo (Wanda) Wildfong and Woodrow (Joy) Wildfong.

Visitation on Saturday, May 28, 2022, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, with Funeral Services at 1 PM with Pastor Mitchell DeJarlais officiating. Interment will follow at Flynn Valley Cemetery, Curran, Michigan at 4:30 PM.
