Barbara Mae Henderson, 83, of Bentley passed away on May 21, 2022. She was born to Dorothy Mae (Pease) and Winford Blanton on August 22,1938 in Wayne, Michigan. She married Lewin Henderson on July 7, 1956.
She was a hard-working farmer’s wife who oftentimes was the one who had to track down the cows when they got out – always when Lew was at work. She then had to find out where the cows got out AND fix the fence! Barbara loved to read, do crossword puzzles and cook.
In fact, all agree she was the best cook in the family. She was also a wonderful gardener and loved her flower garden. Whenever she was out, she would always pick up new flowers to nurture and grow. What folks remember most about her was her quick wit. She found humor in most things, and we still laugh at some of the zingers she used to come up with.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years Lewin, daughters Lynne and Colleen (Michael Wilga) and son John. She was predeceased by her brother James. Visitation will be held at Lee Ramsay funeral Home in Pinconning, Michigan on Friday, June 3, 2022, from 4 pm until 7 pm.
