Thomas (Scorch) Oscar Nowlin, age 58 of Merritt, passed away on February 24, 2022 at his home.
Thomas was born November 18, 1963 in Grayling to Charles and Shirley (Myer) Nowlin.
Thomas enjoyed golfing with his little brother, Caley and grandson, Mason. He was an avid lions fan and loved watching football with his brother, Tim. His greatest enjoyment was cooking breakfast for his grandsons, and playing with them. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He loved spending time with his friends and family, and absolutely wanted to find BigFoot one day.
He is survived by his daughter, Cassandra (Joshua Sinischo) Nowlin of Merritt and three grandsons: Mason, Tanner and Brody Reed.
Thomas is also survived by two brothers: Caley (Amanda) Nowlin of Grayling and Brad (Gail) Nowlin of Flushing and two sisters: Cheryl Johnson and Sandy Nowlin both of Grayling, his former wife, Erica (Thomas) Leedy of Merritt, former son in law, Dustin Reed of Lake City, and many nieces and nephews.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Brian Nowlin and a brother in law, Danny Johnson.
Family and friends will be notified of a wake in his honor at a later date.
