Terry Lynn Collins, 66, of Grayling

Terry Lynn Collins, 66, of Grayling, previously of Dundee, passed away at home Wednesday, November 10, 2021.

Terry was born in Wyandotte, MI on September 18, 1955 to Jack and Faye (Epling) Collins. Terry married his high school sweetheart Janet Smith on January 12, 1976. Terry loved hunting and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed his many adventures with friends through the years – camping, off-roading, and trail riding. Terry was a master at the gift of gab, always willing to chat with whoever would make time. He was a wonderful provider. He loved his family and always made sure his grandchildren gave hugs. He’ll always be remembered for his conversations and storytelling. He was most comfortable in his Duluth t-shirt and favorite jeans with his chewing tobacco and a dog by his side. He was a big-hearted man with a big story and his journey was almost complete.

Terry is survived by his wife Janet Collins; children Amy (Todd) Strimpel, Barbara Collins, Dan Collins and Ken (Kristen) Collins; grandchildren Thomas, Miner, Tiernan, Keegan, Liam, Caraline, Kouper and Kayden; brother Timmy and sister Sandie; good friend of over 50 years Dan Schillinger; and many other good friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Jack Collins Jr.

A Celebration of Terry’s Life will be announced in the near future.

Arrangements by Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home.
