Penny Ann Shepherd, 70, formerly of Grayling

Penelope (Penny) Ann Shepherd (Latusek), 70,  born May 31, 1951, passed away on October 31, 2021 at her home in Dade City, Florida.  She is survived by her husband Terry Shepherd, son Brian Shepherd (Colleen) and son Eric Shepherd (Jose).  Five grandchildren Devyn, Ian (Jennifer), Keegan, Lairyn and Ethan, three great grandchildren Isaac, Elijah and Autumn.  Penny was born in Flint, Michigan to Peter J. Latusek (deceased) and Frieda Ann Latusek, siblings Michael (deceased), Tony Latusek (Sandy), Don, Marilyn (Barry) McClanahan and Dave (Dusty) Latusek.

Penny was a Grayling High School graduate, retired from Crawford County courts as a court reporter.  She was a resident of Grayling for almost all of her life and dearly loved the area. Penny and Terry decided to become snowbirds a couple years ago and bought a home in the south.  She enjoyed her cabin in the woods, skiing, cooking, boating, her cheerleader coaching and of course her Saturday coffee hour with her girlfriends and of course all her family and friends.

Terry will bring Penny home in the spring to her final resting place.  Penny would have been most pleased if any donations were made to any cancer society or foundation of choice.
