Rosalie E. (Mercier) Lepper, age 83, of Prudenville

Rosalie E. Lepper, age 83, of Prudenville passed away on Sunday September 19, 2021 at The Brook Assisted Living in Grayling with her loving family by her side. 

Rosalie was born on January 19, 1938 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Lawrence and Elaine (Bivins) Mercier. She was married on July 12, 1958 in Detroit to Donald R. Lepper, who precedes her in death. The couple moved to Prudenville in 1968 and were the owners and operators of Ford’s Hardware in Prudenville for over 30 years. Rosalie married Lew Ernst on September 15, 2007 in Houghton Lake, he precedes her in death. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Rosalie enjoyed antiquing, reading and spending time with her family and friends. 

Rosalie is survived by her son; Kevin (Karen) Lepper of Howell, daughters; Christine Petrini of Traverse City and Lori Jefferson of Traverse City, grandchildren; Ryan, Linde, Stephanie and Jesse, great grandchildren; Kaleb, Austin, Haley, Kaden and Kane, brothers; Jerry (Marlene) Mercier and Larry Mercier. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Donald R. Lepper and husband; Lew Ernst and brother; Terry Mercier. 

A private ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 23 at Christler Funeral Home in Prudenville. Doors open at 10 a.m. with the funeral at 11 a.m.  Ceremony will be officiated by Pastor Winter. Interment will be in Denton Township Cemetery, Prudenville.
